Does it work if nobody is logged into Windows?
Yes. LocalSync Pro installs a Windows Task Scheduler job that runs under the SYSTEM account at startup. Backups run on schedule whether the machine is locked, logged out, or unattended.
What can I back up to?
Local drives, USB drives, NAS devices, Windows network shares (\\Server\Folder), and SFTP/SSH servers. It does not back up to cloud services like OneDrive or Google Drive.
How does the license work?
Your license is tied to one machine's MAC address on first activation. If you replace your computer, call us and we'll transfer it to the new machine at no charge.
What happens if a backup fails?
TNR Technologies is automatically notified. Depending on the error, we'll reach out to help you resolve it — disk space issues, network path changes, or locked files.
Do I need to renew every year?
Renewal keeps the failure-alert monitoring active and covers any updates. The software will continue to run backups even on an expired license, but failure alerts to TNR will stop.
How long does setup take?
About 5 minutes. Run the installer, enter your license key in Settings, add a backup job pointing at your source folder and destination, pick a schedule, and you're done.
